Dear Friends,
As we start May, our thoughts turn to Mother's Day and the celebration of mums around the world.
Through the colourful circus and bombardment of advertising, some of us emerge on the other side with thoughts of cynicism for the commercial side of the event.
That coming from someone who makes things to sell, I hope that people purchase and give with love in their heart, thinking of the mum they are buying for and the person she truly is. Commercial cynicism aside, I think of all the mums I know and agree they should have an international day of recognition!
For the sheer weight of love and responsibility that sits on their shoulders, keeping that weight in balance is not an easy task!
I longed for almost a decade to be granted the privelege of being someone's 'mum' and when my miracle happened, I finally understood how fantastically hard it can be and at the very same time, how fantastic it can be!
So to all the mums I know and all the mums I haven't had the privelege of meeting, enjoy your mother's day, whatever form it brings! You truly deserve a moment of recognition!
Love,
Molly xo
